COMIC: 'Tomorrow' (from Caliber Comics Presents)
Read my first published comic ever, and in color for the first time.
Hey fellas*!
Pulling one from the archives for you today, and it’s a special one for me.
Why?
Because what you’re about to see is my first comic.
“Tomorrow” was first published in Caliber Comics Presents Vol. 1 in 2018. It was written by me with art by Nick Barber, letters by Micah Myers, and colors by my brother under a pseudonym.
It was a big first for me. My first proper comic script. My first successful collaboration with a creative team. My first published work.
In the Comics Experience forum, a well-known professional comic writer told me the script qualified me to write The Punisher.
I don’t want to write The Punisher, but it was a hell of a nice thing to say about a writer’s first script.
Anyway, “Tomorrow” was published in black and white, so what you’re about to see actually never has been seen.
Because what I’m publishing below is the full-color comic.
That’s enough throat clearing. Here’s “Tomorrow”:
*Someone asked me about “fellas.” Yes, I include all genders in “fellas.”
