Horror is not my game, so I turned to Thom, a writer / director who loves cult slasher and B-horror flicks, to see if he had any short film concepts we could turn into a short comic.
The concepts he sent were good, but there was only one that really stood out as something I needed to do: Full Moon Glory Hole.
We pulled together a submission package, sent it in, and started patting ourselves on the back. “No one is gonna send them a shock grindhouse exploitation horror comic like this, we’re shoe-ins.”
We were turned down.
So, we made the comic anyway, with help from a few *friends. Here it is. And, in case you didn’t figure this out on your own, the following comic is…
*Special thanks to actors Franklin Killian and Courtney Bandeko for allowing us to use their likenesses for this project.
Too bad this one didn’t get accepted but I’m glad you guys made it anyway. Solid short, the art (colors in particular) is sick.
Just curious, how long does it take you to get one of these done? Start to finish, given scheduling constraints and assuming every is paid for.
Jesus Christ. This just made my Halloween better.
